The Venetian loggia
The large loggia outside the historic gate is one of Oprtalj’s defining spaces. It once served as a civic meeting place and shelter; today it frames the first great view into the Mirna landscape.

The parish church of St George dates to 1526. Its tower is a distinctive presence in the silhouette of Oprtalj and anchors the upper part of the old town.
